Samuel L. Digby

Samuel L. Digby, President/Senior Advisory Consultant at Digby’s Protection Group, LLC has worked in a high-paced, customer-service- oriented profession and has over 25 years of experience in law enforcement, security consulting, education, and security management. Mr. Digby has earned the respect of his colleagues through adhering to Digby’s Protection Group, LLC core values which include honor, integrity, team work, and commitment to excellence. Mr. Digby has done international law enforcement consulting and business consulting work in Western Europe and Mexico in the areas of crime & social policy, criminal justice, urban transformation, and economic development.  Mr. Digby is a licensed peace officer and holds a basic, intermediate, advanced, and master peace officer certification in the State of Texas.  Mr. Digby is a licensed private security contractor in the State of Tennessee and the State of Texas.  Mr. Digby is a certified TCOLE instructor in the State of Texas with vast experience in curriculum and design.  Mr.  Digby is a licensed private investigator in the State of Tennessee and has membership in numeruous business associations and clubs throughout the region.  Mr. Digby’s hard work and dedication has paid off and his goal is to teach as many people as he can the value that hard work and dedication can have on one’s personal as well as professional life.

Mr. Digby is a graduate from The Center for American and  International Law Institute for Law Enforcement Administration (ILEA) 59th School of Executive Leadership in Plano, Texas. Mr. Digby is a graduate of the John F. Kennedy School of Executive Education (HKS), Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Mr. Digby is a  graduate of the Caruth Police Institute (CPI) a Police Command College located in Dallas, Texas. 

Mr. Digby received a Master of Science Degree in Strategic Leadership from Mountain State University in Beckley, West Virginia. Mr. Digby received a Master of Public Administration Degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas. Mr. Digby also received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee. As a community leader and businessman, Mr. Digby has a deep passion for people and their well-being through his involvement in numerous community outreach programs and has spent  over 2 decades of his life dedicated to these causes in several communities abroad and domestically. From business colleagues to friends surveyed, Mr. Digby’s desire to see others succeed is second to none.
  

Joyce Digby

Dr. Joyce Digby Nelson Educational Security Consultant at Digby's Protection Group, LLC  is a native of Chicago, Illinois and serves as a consultant where she advises school administrators on how to keep public and private schools safe. Dr. Nelson had a desire to be of service to others at a young age and currently has more than 30 years of professionally meeting the needs of others via health care services and public education. She has served as a public school administrator (principal and assistant principal) in Chicago, Illinois the third largest school district in the United States for seven years and also has served in Chicago’s far south suburbs for several years in this capacity as well. Her early work experience as a Licensed Registered Occupational Therapist in a rehabilitation center was followed by public school employment opportunities in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Nelson is also a published author.  Dr. Nelson's most recent literary work is her book titled, “ Mama Used to Say Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life” A Legacy of Words Worth Preserving From One Generation to Another. Dr. Nelson has a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. Dr. Nelson has a Master’s Degree of Health Science in Administration and Supervision from the University of Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Nelson also has a Doctorate of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. 

Over the last decade under her transformational leadership strategies, Dr. Nelson’s work has been recognized through awards and presentations for student academic growth, security, and minimizing discipline concerns: State recognition include, superintendent awards and presentations at Raising Student Achievement Conference, No Child Left Behind Conferences and Alpha Kappa Alpha Leadership Conferences.

Dr. Nelson feels school safety is essential because students, faculty, staff, administrators and parents can then concentrate on strategically developing and preserving a  learning environment conducive to teaching and learning where everyone feels safe.
